Welcome to our service today. It’s great to have you here and we would love to invite you to stay after the service and join us for tea and coffee. If this is your first time at BBC we especially welcome you.
One writer said a man can live forty days without food, three days without water, eight minutes without air, but only one second without hope. Does that mean we die when all hope is gone? In extreme cases, sadly it can. Hope sustains life and once a person loses hope, they can quickly perish . We live by hope and when it’s gone, endurance, joy, energy and courage just seem to evaporate. Sometimes when people lose all hope, they continue to exist; but we’d be hard-pressed to call it living. They’re really just surviving. People cannot live without hope; it is one of the most powerful forces of life.
With God in our lives we can have hope of a bright future, both in this life and the life to come. Our God of Hope pours His hope into our lives; all the hope we’ll ever need. God is ready to fill us with the Holy Spirit of hope, and the more we have of Him in our lives, the more hope we will have. So seek Him today with all of your heart, soul and mind and discover the hope He is for your life.
With love & blessings,
Sandra
