The goodness of God is one of the most comforting truths in Scripture. Every day, whether we recognise it or not, we are surrounded by evidence of His kindness, mercy, and faithfulness. The rising sun, the love of family and friends, the strength to face another day, and the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ all testify to God’s goodness.
Yet God’s goodness is not dependent on our circumstances. There are seasons when life is difficult, prayers seem unanswered, and burdens feel heavy. Even then, God remains good. His character never changes. What we cannot see today, He sees clearly. What we do not understand, He is already working for our good and His glory.
The greatest demonstration of God’s goodness is found at the cross. Through Jesus, God provided forgiveness, hope, and eternal life for all who believe. His goodness reaches beyond our temporary struggles and secures our eternal future.
Let’s take time daily to reflect on the ways God has been faithful in our lives. Thank Him for His goodness, trust Him in the challenges we face, and rest in the assurance that His love for us will never fail.
