Welcome to our service today. It is great to have you here and we would love to invite you to stay after the service and join us for morning tea.
“Accepting God’s no requires as great a faith as carrying out His yes.”
I came across this quote this week and it really spoke to me. Today this truth invites us into a deeper trust – not just in what God does, but in who He is. It’s often easier to step forward when doors swing open, when prayers are answered the way we hoped, or when the path feels clear. Saying “yes” alongside God can feel energising and purposeful.
But when God says “no,” something quieter is required – surrender. A “no” from God is not rejection; it is redirection. It is the loving hand of a Father who sees beyond what you can see. Where you perceive loss, He may be protecting. Where you feel delay, He may be preparing. Faith in these moments is not loud or visible – it is steady, rooted, and resilient.
Think of Jesus in the garden, accepting the Father’s will even when it meant suffering. That was not weak faith – it was perfect trust.
Today, if you are carrying a “no,” don’t rush past it. Sit with it. Let it shape your dependence on Him. God’s “no” is still part of His goodness toward you. Trusting His refusals is just as holy as obeying His commands.
With love & blessings,
Sandra
