Welcome to our service today. It is great to have you here and we would love to invite you to stay after the service and join us for tea and coffee.

I’m sure we are all encouraged by a leader who stirs us to move ahead, someone who believes we can do the task they have given us and who will be with us all the way. You may be thinking of someone right now who has been that kind of leader to you. But this is also what God is like. He knows the future, and His plans for us are good and full of hope

(Jer 29:11). As long as we understand that God, who knows the future, shows us what to do and when to do it, and is with us always as we fulfill His mission, then we can have boundless hope. This does not mean that we will be spared pain, suffering, or hardship, but that God will see us through to a glorious conclusion. 

Because of God’s promise of a hope and a future we can call on Him in confidence. In difficult times and places we need not despair because we have God’s presence, the privilege of prayer and God’s grace. God can be sought and found when we seek Him wholeheartedly. Nothing that comes in our way can break the communion we have with Him. So be encouraged as you live out your daily life for Him – He is with us always.
