Welcome to our service today. It is great to have you here and we would love to invite you to stay after the service and join us for tea and coffee.
We often hear people talking about living a godly life. What is a godly life, and how is it achieved? These are important questions because as believers, we are called to live lives that are fully surrendered to Christ. Although we know that this is God’s will for us and that He’s working toward this purpose in our lives, we have a responsibility in the process as well.
What we do as a habit has tremendous influence on whether we will have a godly life. I was reading the other day that there are seven habits that will help us in our pursuit of godly living. I’m sure it will come as no surprise to any of us but it is good to be reminded of what these habits are – a life of prayer, having faith (trusting in God), reading and reflecting on the Word of God, obedience, dependence on the Holy Spirit, giving to God and others and forgiving other people.
My encouragement to myself and each of us is what small steps can we make today to grow in any or all of these godly habits. It doesn’t have to be big but one small change can make a big difference. Let’s spend some time in prayer this week hearing from God about what it might be for each of us
With love & blessings, Sandra
