I read a great quote at the start of the year that went like this “A New Year’s resolution is something that goes in one Year and out the other!” Some of you may have made resolutions and some of you may not. Neither is right or wrong. But one resolution that might be valid for all of us who are in Christ is this – listen!
Before the year starts to tumble away on us let’s make a plan to talk and rest in Jesus as we go about our days. There’s nothing wrong with making goals and plans for the future, but let’s ask Jesus to make His presence a deeper reality as we go about our daily lives. We can claim the same promise that the prophet Isaiah gave Israel during some difficult days of their own:
“Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” whenever you turn to the right hand, or whenever you turn to the left”
