Welcome to our service today. It is great to have you here and we would love to invite you to stay after the service and join us for tea and coffee.
This week I have been dwelling on Psalm 18 which begins – “I love you Lord; You are my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my Saviour; my God is my rock, in whom I find protection. He is my shield, the power that saves me, and my place of safety. I called on the Lord, who is worthy of praise and HE saved me from my enemies.”
David was led from victory to victory. Further on in the Psalm he says “As for God, His way is perfect….”. In other words, he had nothing to complain about, he was not dissatisfied. The rest of the psalm is a complete testimony of constant victory and of the total destruction of the enemy. The Psalm ends with praises to God who has shown mercy on David.
God has not changed one bit during all these years. As He treated David, so He treats you and I. He is not partial. Back to verse 1 – “I will love you Lord, You are my strength”. He is our everything. Bring your burdens, your concerns, your fears and your struggles to Him – in Him we trust.
With love & blessings,
Sandra
