Welcome to our service today. It’s great to have you here and we would love to invite you to stay after the service and join us for tea and coffee.
In 2 Corinthians 12 Paul was sharing one of his personal struggles which he called a ‘thorn in his flesh’. The greatest author in the New Testament was confused and confined by weakness!
Paul asked God to fix it three times but nothing changed. Instead God gave the promise that His power works best in weakness. Now that might seem a very unsatisfying answer – we don’t want to be weak, we want to be strong. But it isn’t about being strong despite our weaknesses, and it isn’t about being strong after our weaknesses are gone. It is about being strong in and through and because of our weaknesses.
Somehow, God is saying that the things that drive us crazy about ourselves might be central to the fulfilment of our potential. Our weaknesses don’t disqualify us. They actually qualify us because they are the very thing that Gods power can work through.
So let God work with your weaknesses and progress from there. He made you, He loves you and He will use you if you let Him.
With love & blessings,
Sandra
