I am often challenged and find that God speaks to me through music. Today I was listening to a song that had the words “Let them see You in me”. Immediately I thought of the scripture in John 13:35 that says “By this everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another”
As followers of Jesus we are called to be the light in this world. We are told to ‘shine’ our lights. What does this look like? Yes it is in our actions, but it is also in our words. It is also in what we don’t say and what we don’t do. We can easily be tempted and distracted by so many things in this world but we need to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus. He is love. He showed love in so many ways. Ultimately He showed the greatest love of all when He was nailed to the cross for our sin. To know God is to know Jesus and to be like Him so He shines from through us.
My prayer today and maybe yours too, is “Let them see You in me”.
