Welcome to our service today. It’s great to have you here and we would love to invite you to stay after the service and join us for tea and coffee.
Have you noticed how, these days, there are so many distractions, so many things pulling you in this direction and that? And many of these are good, worthwhile things. Don’t get me wrong – we are called to serve Christ in whatever way He has gifted us. But one of the biggest risks that we all face in these busy days is being drawn off course. Whether it’s an overflowing email box, social media, entertainment options, work – and many other things, we can get distracted from the purpose to which God has called us.
In Jeremiah 29:11 we read “For I know the plans I have for you” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope”. How do we know what that ‘plan’ is that God has for our lives? In verse 12 and 13 we read “In those days when you pray I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly you will find me.” The answer is right there in front of us – Pray and search with all our heart. Our God is true to His promises. So if you feel you’re being drawn ‘off course’ today, come back to prayer and search for Him and He will show Himself to you.
With love & blessings,
Sandra
