Welcome to our service today. It’s great to have you here and we would love to invite you to stay after the service and join us for tea and coffee. If this is your first time at BBC we especially welcome you.
As we approach Easter in a week or so I am reminded of what God gave up for us when His Son Jesus died on the cross to take our sin and our shame, our guilt and our burdens. He gave everything. And Jesus, knowing this was the will of His Father, surrendered.
As Christians we are called to ‘deny ourselves, take up our cross and follow Him’ (Luke 9:23) That’s a pretty big statement! Yet that is what Jesus has told us to do if we truly want to be His disciples. So that got me thinking – what do I need to surrender? What do I need to give to Him and not carry/plan/control myself? Well I guess the answer is ‘everything’! I’m not there yet – like a lot of the Christian walk it’s a process – learning and discerning as we go. So I leave you with the song resonating in my head – All to Jesus, I surrender, all to Him I freely give. I will ever love and trust Him, in His presence daily live.
With love & blessings, Sandra
