Welcome to our service today. It’s great to have you here and we would love to invite you to stay after the service and join us for tea and coffee. If this is your first time at BBC we especially welcome you.
As I write this it is one of those serene evenings when the sun is going down behind the mountains and the much appreciated cool of the night air is drifting in the open doors. The crickets are chirping and the birds are still singing in the trees. Surprisingly, all is quiet in our house! And I just have an overwhelming sense of gratefulness to God for all He has done for me. For who He is. For what He has given me. For the promises I have just read sitting in the bible next to me. For how close He is to me. And I am reminded again to simply come and praise God and give Him thanks for everything. We were reminded of this last year on a number of occasions and it is good to be reminded again of how giving thanks in all circumstances – yes all! – can change our circumstances in a moment.
As this year begins can I encourage us all to remember to ‘rejoice always, pray continually and to give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for us in Christ Jesus.’
With love and blessings,
Sandra
