Welcome to our service today. It is great to have you here and we would love to invite you to stay after the service and join us for tea and coffee.

At our recent Women’s Camp we studied the character of God through the book of Psalms. This great collection of songs and prayers expresses the heart and soul of humanity. In them, the whole range of human experience is expressed. David and other writers honestly pour out their true feelings, reflecting a dynamic, powerful and life changing relationship with God. They confess their sins, express their doubts and fears, ask God for help in times of trouble and praise and worship Him.

Whether despairing or rejoicing, the writers are honest with God. Because of this honesty, men and women throughout history have come repeatedly to the book of Psalms for comfort during times of struggle and hardship – I know this is the first book I turn too! And from reading this book they have risen from the depths of despair to new heights of joy and praise as they also have discovered the power of God’s everlasting love and forgiveness.

Let us too, as we meditate on these Psalms, let the honesty of the psalmists guide us into a deeper and more genuine relationship with God.

With love & blessings,

Sandra
