Welcome to our service today. It is great to have you here and we would love to invite you to stay after the service and join us for tea and coffee.

There are many examples in the Bible of men and women who faced opposition and persecution but who carried out their ministry without fear or shame. Many of these people boldly used the gifts of preaching and teaching that the Holy Spirit had given them. The Holy Spirit helps us to be wise and to be strong. God honours our confident testimony even when we suffer. I don’t know about you but I can find myself easily fearing what people might say or do if I state clearly what I believe in. I found myself in that very situation this week when someone asked me about my theology after telling me theirs had turned from black and white to many areas of grey. Although I feared what I said might strain the relationship I had to say that my theology was quite black and white and based on the Bible full stop!

If you find yourself in a situation where you need to speak up or boldly take a stand can I encourage you to look only to God and to not fear what people think. Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full in His wonderful face, and the things of earth will grow strangely dim, in the light of His glory and grace.

With love & blessings,

Sandra
