I want to thank you and honour you, our church family here at Beckenham for the part you played in the recent mission to under privileged children here in Christchurch through the Kid’s Explosion Te Mapua camp. Of course the team on the ground at camp had an extremely challenging week but the stories we are continuing to hear are so encouraging. From one of the team – “it was probably the toughest week of my life…….but the most rewarding”.
Many children on camp not only received love, food, respect, and encouragement but of course the good news of Jesus Christ for the very first time. There were many battles along the way throughout the preparation leading up to camp and during camp but your prayers were pivotal in making sure the enemy was defeated and that Jesus was glorified in all that was said and done.
The cabin kits we were able to put together for the leaders from everything that was donated were incredible and the kids were able to use and take these home with them. So again, thank you so much for the part you have played and for being such a Kingdom minded, encouraging and praying church.
