Surrender isn’t a word that people often like to associate with. It can sound like ‘losing’ and no one wants to feel like a loser. No wonder it’s hard to surrender to God. Our human instinct tells us that surrendering to Him may not work out for us. But the Bible tells us that surrendering to Jesus is what is in our best interest.
Following Jesus wholeheartedly requires submission to Him. We can’t follow our own agenda and at the same time follow Him. Trying to do both just doesn’t work. We don’t know where God will lead us, but we do know that He is good and trustworthy. He created us for good works which He already has prepared for us.
If you haven’t already, now is the time to give Him the reins to guide your life to the very best place, beyond what you can even imagine for yourself. Now is the time to surrender.
