Welcome to our service today. It’s great to have you here and we would love to invite you to stay after the service and join us for tea and coffee. If this is your first time at BBC we especially welcome you.
As I write this the hail is beating down on our deck and the city is covered in grey cloud with wind and rain dousing it. Someone said to me this morning ‘I don’t like winter’. Many of you probably don’t either. It signals the end of long, light filled, warm days bringing shorter, darker and colder ones. But like many things in life it is just a ‘season’. It will pass.
In the different seasons of the year we do different things (often weather dependent!) and in the ‘seasons’ of life we also do different things – and learn different things. In some seasons of life we struggle with what is going on but can learn so much and in other seasons of life we seem to breeze through them enjoying every moment. Some seasons seem to last a lot longer than others while others are just fleeting. But the truth is that in every ‘season’ of our lives God is constant. He is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8) So whatever season you find yourself in at the moment, remember God is with you and that He will never leave you or forsake you. Praise God!
With love & blessings, Sandra
