Welcome to our service today. It is great to have you here and we would love to invite you to stay after the service and join us for morning tea.
Surrender is one of the hardest acts of faith, yet it is the doorway to true peace. We often cling tightly to control – our plans, our timing, our understanding – believing that if we just try harder, everything will work out. But Jesus calls us to a different way. He says, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me” (Luke 9:23).
To surrender is not to give up – it is to give over. It’s choosing to trust that God’s plan is wiser and His timing perfect, even when we cannot see the full picture. When we surrender our will to His, we make room for His power to work through us.
Think of Jesus in Gethsemane, praying, “Not my will, but yours be done.” That moment of complete surrender led to the greatest victory – the redemption of the world. In the same way, when we yield our hearts, our fears, and our dreams to God, He transforms them for His glory.
Maybe today as you read this you need to take a quiet moment to open your hands and say, “Lord, I surrender all.” In that surrender, you will find freedom, strength, and the deep rest that only comes from trusting Him completely.
With love & blessings, Sandra
