5th October 2025

Welcome to our service today. It is great to have you here and we would love to invite you to stay after the service and join us for morning tea.

The heart of the Christian faith is the gospel – the “good news” of Jesus Christ. Paul declares in 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, “Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that He was buried, that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.” This simple yet profound truth is the foundation of our hope.

The gospel begins with God’s holiness and humanity’s sin. We have all fallen short of His glory (Romans 3:23), and the penalty of sin is death (Romans 6:23). But God, in His great love, sent His Son Jesus to take our place. On the cross, Jesus bore the punishment we deserved, and through His resurrection, He defeated sin and death forever.

This message is not just information – it demands a response. To believe the gospel means to repent, turning from sin, and to trust Jesus as Saviour and Lord. When we do, we are forgiven, reconciled to God, and given the gift of eternal life.

As believers, we are called not only to treasure this message but to share it. The gospel is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes. If you are not a believer then I encourage you to seriously consider the gospel message. We would love to talk with your further.

With love & blessings,  Sandra
