Welcome to our service today. It is great to have you here and we would love to invite you to stay after the service and join us for morning tea.
Stress is something we all face. Deadlines, responsibilities, and unexpected challenges can weigh heavily on our hearts. Yet the Bible reminds us that we are not meant to carry these burdens alone. In Matthew 11:28 – 30, Jesus says, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Stress often grows when we rely only on our own strength. But God calls us to lay our worries at His feet, trusting Him to provide peace that surpasses understanding.
When stress rises, prayer becomes our lifeline. Philippians 4:6 – 7 urges us not to be anxious about anything, but to present our requests to God. As we do, His peace guards our hearts and minds. Worship and scripture reading also calm our spirits, reminding us of God’s sovereignty and faithfulness.
Practical steps matter too – resting well, seeking wise counsel, and encouraging fellowship with believers help us endure. Most importantly, we remember that stress is not our master. Christ has overcome the world, and through Him, we can walk in hope even in overwhelming seasons.
With love & blessings,
Sandra
