24th August 2025

Welcome to our service today. It is great to have you here and we would love to invite you to stay after the service and join us for morning tea.

Loyalty is a rare and beautiful trait in a world where commitments are often broken and promises quickly forgotten. The Bible shows us that true loyalty flows from a heart grounded in God’s love. Ruth’s devotion to Naomi is one of the clearest pictures of loyalty in Scripture. Though Ruth could have returned to her homeland, she chose to remain, declaring: “Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God” (Ruth 1:16). Her loyalty was not based on convenience but on faithfulness.

As followers of Christ, we are called to be loyal – first to God, then to others. Jesus said, “No one can serve two masters” (Matthew 6:24). Our ultimate loyalty must belong to Him, even when it is costly. This loyalty shapes our relationships, our work, and our witness to the world.

Being loyal means standing by friends, family, and church through both joy and hardship. It means keeping our word, even when it is inconvenient. Most of all, it reflects God’s own steadfast love toward us – He never abandons or betrays His people.

Let us be known as people of loyalty, showing faithfulness to God and others in every season.

With love & blessings,

Sandra
