Welcome to our service today. It is great to have you here and we would love to invite you to stay after the service and join us for morning tea.
Patience is not just about waiting – it’s about how we wait. In a world of instant gratification, God’s call to patience is a countercultural act of trust. Throughout Scripture, we see that patience is a fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22), something God cultivates in us as we walk with Him.
Abraham waited decades for the promise of a son. Joseph endured years of unjust suffering before rising to a position of influence. Even Jesus, in His earthly life, patiently endured rejection, hardship, and ultimately the cross, trusting in the Father’s perfect timing.
When we are patient, we declare with our lives that God is in control and His timing is best. It’s in the waiting that our faith grows, our character is refined, and our dependence on God deepens. There are times in our life that we need to trust that God is working behind the scenes. His promises are sure, and His timing is perfect.
It is in these times that we must wait well, wait prayerfully and wait with hope. It is in that waiting, that we allow God to shape us more into the image of Christ.
With love & blessings,
Sandra
