Welcome to our service today. It is great to have you here and we would love to invite you to stay after the service and join us for morning tea.
“But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” – Romans 5:8
The cross of Jesus stands at the centre of our faith – not as a symbol of defeat, but of victory. It is at the cross that love met justice and where mercy triumphed over judgment. Though innocent, Jesus bore the weight of our sin, willingly sacrificing Himself so that we might be reconciled to God.
When we look at the cross, we are reminded of how far God was willing to go to bring us back to Him. It wasn’t nails that held Jesus there – it was love. A love that sees us in our sinfulness and still calls us redeemed. In moments of guilt, doubt, or weakness, the cross reminds us that our salvation doesn’t rest on our perfection, but on Christ’s finished work. His blood cleanses us, His grace sustains us, and His resurrection assures us that death no longer has the final word.
Today, let us pause and reflect on the cross and let gratitude rise in our hearts. The truth is – we are deeply loved, eternally forgiven, and forever changed because of Jesus.
With love & blessings,
Sandra
