17th December 2023

Welcome to our service today. It is great to have you here and we would love to invite you to stay after the service and join us for tea and coffee.

The angel announced to the shepherds “good news of great joy that will be for all people.” (Luke 2:10) Good news. Great joy. For all people. That’s the wonderful proclamation of Christmas in a nutshell. The good news is that we have a Saviour, Jesus Christ. And it is good ‘news’ – not good ‘advice’ or good ‘teaching’ but good news!

God came to us in the person of Jesus. He came into the world and lived among us, died for our sins and rose from the dead. He offers us the free gift of salvation. It’s the best news! And it’s news for all people. No one is outside the reach of God’s grace in Christ. All are welcome to come to Jesus, no matter who they are, what they’ve done, or whatever their background – and receive His free gift of salvation. It is the greatest gift that leads to the greatest joy – the joy of knowing Jesus, of living with hope, of being adopted into God’s family and knowing that our future is secure in heaven.

Blessings,

Sandra
