Welcome to our service today. It is great to have you here and we would love to invite you to stay after the service and join us for tea and coffee.

God seeks people who will stand in the gap and pray where there is sin. In the book of Ezekiel God said, “I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one” (Ez 22:30)

The gap he is talking about is between God and man, and the person who stands in the gap is the one who prays. A gap was also a place in the protective wall around a field or a city that had been broken down and needed repair. God only needed one person to pray, and He couldn’t find even one. So who are we ‘standing in the gap’ for today? It could be a prodigal child, sibling or parent. It could be for a friend who hasn’t yet become a follower of Jesus. It could be for our government. Our job is to pray – God will do the rest. Let us come humbly before Him knowing that we can trust Him completely for the outcome.

Blessings, Sandra
