Many sincere seekers for God are puzzled about what He wants them to do. The religions of the world are mankind’s attempts to answer this question. But Jesus’ reply to those who asked Him what they must do to “work the works of God” is brief and simple – “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.”
Satisfying God does not come from the work we do, but from who we believe in. The first step is accepting that Jesus is who He claims to be. All spiritual development is built on this affirmation. Only once we believe do we then follow. We follow the words of Jesus, the works of Jesus and the leading of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Jesus is the Bread of Life. We must invite Him into our daily lives to sustain our daily walk and spiritual life. He is our all in all.
