I’m sure many of us have heard the saying about the definition of insanity – that it is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result! Maybe you feel like your life is stuck in a rut. Each day it is the same thing and you feel like life is becoming monotonous and boring. You may find yourself asking what am I doing? What is my purpose in life?
In Matthew 6:33 we read ‘but seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.’ I think the key word in relation to what I’m talking about here is ‘seek’. We actively need to ‘attempt or desire to obtain’ first, the kingdom of God and His righteousness. This is an action word! We need to give it 100% with all our heart, soul and mind. Read the bible, spend time with God, worship Him, pray, fast, listen, seek Godly counsel…..the list goes on! We need to be the ones to create change otherwise we will never see a different result. My encouragement today is to put this FIRST – before anything else. God is faithful and trustworthy and He won’t let us down.
