Welcome to our service today. It is great to have you here and we would love to invite you to stay after the service and join us for tea and coffee.
When we do not recognise our need for God and fail to come to Him to be strengthened and rejuvenated in His presence, He allows things to happen to us which cause us to become painfully aware of our lack. If we are not actively seeking the Lord’s presence on a daily basis we can stray out from under His covering of protection to where bad things can happen. And that is a dangerous place to be.
Anyone who doesn’t recognise their need for the Lord is trying to fulfill their needs in some way that is empty. They will probably become hooked on it and obsessed with it to the point of idolising it and allowing it to numb them to the voice of God speaking to their heart. They are missing all God has for them. Utter dependance on God is not only a place of freedom but also the safest and most fulfilling place for us to be. When we are filled with things other than God, we will always hunger. If we know we are hungry and seek to be filled by God, we will never hunger for anything else.
